In this painting the subject or story is in three parts overall but with subtleties of information hidden in the background.
Everything in a painting is aspects of you in one way or another, therefore the couple in the foreground I see as not only my masculine and feminine side embracing each other but my own relationship with my husband. The Buddha is the reminder to have faith. In the painting within the Buddha is a smaller representation of an old Chinese monk or wise man both sitting in contemplation. So I really need to sit with this painting and message and not disregard it and perhaps miss an opportunity. The hand coming in from the RHS is open and offering something so I am being made a proposition that is meaningful and I would be wise to accept it. Who knows where it will come from or what will be offered, so I need to remain open. |
On the LHS is a beautiful swan highlighted in green and it is protecting us both. Within the body of the swan is a heart and being in the very foreground of the painting says to me that this message is being brought with love. Another aspect of that is two hearts beating as one, after all we’ve been informed by Spirit that we are twin souls who have chosen to come together to face these challenges this life. Incorporated in the painting as well is a serpent, birds and much more.
The swan is the reminder of yet another lesson. During my period of depression I was told about an elderly lady who was clairvoyant and offered healing sessions. Margaret was the sweetest soul and gave me a huge gift for without her assistance at that time I would not have had access to this information.
While on the table and in a very relaxed state I saw myself as a tiny person a totally black image. I was led to the shore of a lake where I was to begin my journey. The swan swam over to me and I got on his back, he swam over to another part of the lake and drifted in to the shore. As we reached the shore a beautiful lady put her arm down to help me over and the swan melted into her outstretched arm and body. From there I was taken to the middle of a forest where she had a full length mirror placed in the clearing. She told me to look into the mirror and tell her what I was seeing. I was stunned to say the least the image in the mirror WAS the beautiful lady who had come to meet me.
MY LESSON THAT DAY WAS THAT WE ARE MORE THAN WE THINK WE ARE! WE ARE POWERFUL BEINGS BUT WE CAN FOOL OURSELVES BY THE BELIEFS WE CHOOSE TO HAVE AND BELIEVE OURSELVES TO BE LESS THAN WE TRULY ARE.WE ARE CREATORS IN OUR OWN RIGHT AND HAVE THE CHOICE TO CHOOSE THE BEST POSSIBLE OUTCOMES.
Update: I believe the offering was delivered by a wonderful friend, who told me about the Advanced Diploma of Transpersonal Art Therapy. It was offered as a choice. Do I think I am capable of studying this, having not done any formal study for many years?
The answer was ‘yes’ and everything went smoothly, I was accepted. I absolutely love what I am learning and all of my life experiences are strengths that I can now draw on to help others where and when appropriate.
